Thank God, It’s Monday (er, Tuesday)! — Week of December 12th 2016

This post is late, late, late!

Yesterday (Monday) I had a great start to the week, having just gotten off a very busy AND joyous weekend peppered with a bit of travel, a couple of Christmas parties, a promising new doc and a health breakthrough (that is, a new resolve to live out a healthy diet) for the hubby, Sunday (service) reminders to live purposefully, an opportunity to help, and a lovely movie (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was fun, not spectacular, with Eddie Redmayne showing his versatility yet again) date with bonus giant gummy bears and frozen yoghurt! Whew!

Anyway, that was the weekend, and Monday, oh it was special, too, and not only because it began with a wonderful breakfast work meeting 😀 Yesterday marked the beginning of a new chapter: I started processing my admission documents for my doctorate. Finally, I’m doing this, and I pray, I pray, I pray that I will finish and it won’t take me a decade to do so :-/ Lord, help me!

And how’s your start of the week?

Thank God, It’s Monday! — Week of December 5th 2016

A week of silence and now…

It’s December!

The good news is, the tree is up 😀 AND, we have a star!!!

Lights on!

And it’s the happiest tree in the world, if I may say so myself 😀

As for the bad news: I have not bought any presents. On good years I’d be done by November. This year, though…oh, dear me!

Still have a bit of a hangover from Bangkok (No, not that kind.) so I just have to post these “last supper” photos:

…Anyone? Any takers?

The recent days have been packed with good moments with family and friends. Just last night our church discipleship family gathered for our early Christmas party. About seventy people came, including lots of kids! My heart is full.

I have to confess though that I’m being quite affected again by current events in my country. This is why I’m being intentional in reminding myself of the good and the happy that are going on.

Family.

Friends.

Fellowship of believers.

Jesus.

They make everything worthwhile 🙂
