Thank God, It’s Monday! – 02 May 2016

And just like that, a third of the year has wooshed past and it’s May!!! How did that happen?!

Around the country, the election frenzy has gone way past fever pitch. The good news is I still have all my relationships intact, yay! Seriously though, I can hardly wait for all the “vitriol,” as a friend calls it, to just be gone. I’ve said it on Facebook: We must be a better people than this.

Still in connection with the upcoming polls, this blog has gotten an awful lot of visibility lately, notably because of this post about the Yolanda funds. In fact my blog stats have been going off the charts since I started publishing election-related posts. I’m thankful for the exposure and am especially glad for the chance to help inform my fellow Pinoys, even in my itsy-bitsy way. It would be great, though, to have all these viewers read my other posts, too. Even better if this TGIM movement finally catches on, for we definitely need more good vibes all around.

Anyway, this Monday is definitely one that I’m thankful for, because:

  • It comes after a great weekend! Thank you, Lord, for Sabbath.
  • I’ve made a firm resolve related to work. I’m over my zombie days. Thank you, God. And thank you for the reminders, Stephen Covey.
  • I’m at the tail end (I hope) of a side engagement that has allowed me to extend a bit of help to former colleagues. This promises to be a stressful day, but by God’s grace all will end well.
  • It’s a little over a week until my parents come home! Weeeee!!!! I will have a special post on this soon.

Now if only I can squeeze in a bit of breakfast before this workshop officially starts, then things would be perfect.

And how’s your Monday? Feel free to write your own TGIM post on your blog or FB page, and comment below with a link to said post. Or, if you wish, post your story/insight straight below.

Have a blessed week!
