TGIM – Week of September 14th 2015

How it works: Every Monday I will publish a Thank God, It’s Monday (TGIM) post and invite you to do the same–write about a TGIM insight or experience–on your respective blogs/social media accounts. You may share a link to your post at the comments section; then, on my next Monday’s post, I will include the links that you shared so that we can all encourage one another with our happy vibes! Sounds good?

I slept well last night. A good six hours, maybe even seven — and for that I praise God!!! I usually live on three to four hours of sleep every night, so this was extraordinary. I felt so great when I got up, in fact, that I tried to skip my morning coffee. Of course I had to raise the proverbial white flag a couple of hours later; my bloodstream was screaming for caffeine and my head felt near-bursting. I think I need another round of self-rehab.

A kilometric list of tasks was waiting for me when I got to my desk. I was part-exhilarated, part-frantic. Now the day is almost over, and I survived! Still have much work to do, but as Scarlett dramatically exclaimed,

Other blessings for today: a bit of progress on Writing 101, mustering the will to do a 5km-run for a breast cancer fundraiser, and having ongoing online chats with groups of friends with whom I am able to share prayers and life events. Plus, this window that I have to stop all I am doing, just to be thankful. What a privilege.

On the downside, I realized today that I’m having to start over in terms of gaining people’s participation in this weekly blog event. I already had people doing it regularly, then I stopped posting for a month. And…I lost them.

Just praying it’ll catch on again. Let’s spread the gratefulness, people!

Now it’s your turn! Make your own TGIM post on your blog or FB page, and comment below with a link to said post. Or, if you wish, post your story/insight straight below.

Have a blessed week!
