TGIM – Week of July 20th 2015

How it works: Every Monday I will publish a Thank God, It’s Monday (TGIM) post and invite you to do the same–write about a TGIM insight or experience–on your respective blogs/social media accounts. You may share a link to your post at the comments section; then, on my next Monday’s post, I will include the links that you shared so that we can all encourage one another with our happy vibes! Sounds good?

Getting up from barely three hours of sleep, I started the day with eyes half-closed, dragging my feet out of bed. By the time I was fully awake and preparing breakfast I had dozens of things racing around my head. It was going to be a very busy, challenging day, and there was nothing I wanted more than to go back to my pillows.

Some Mondays are just like that, wouldn’t you agree? Screaming in your face that the day, and the week, will not go well. I’m so glad my Bible reading today consisted of the last few chapters of the book of Matthew — it’s without a doubt a serendipitous blessing, being refreshed with reminders of Christ’s victory and sovereignty. In fact, this day did turn out to be a nerve-wracking one, but this kept drawing me back into a peaceful state:

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me…” (Matthew 28:18)

Thank you, Lord!

Check out this wonderful lady’s latest take on Monday 🙂

Now it’s your turn. Make your own TGIM post on your blog or FB page, and comment below with a link to said post. Or, if you wish, post your story/insight straight below.

Have a great week ahead!
